When groups split across multiple cabs, every rest stop becomes a coordination exercise. Someone is always waiting for another car. Someone always reaches Mandarmani 20 minutes after everyone else. A single tempo traveller from Kolkata to Mandarmani ends all of that — your group moves together, stops together, and arrives at the beach together.
Three Innova Crystas for 18 people costs significantly more than a single 17-seater tempo traveller. The maths works in your favour the moment your group exceeds 8 people. At 26 passengers, the cost per person on a tempo traveller drops to its lowest — with tolls, fuel, and driver included.
Four and a half hours sitting upright in a cramped seat is not a pleasant start to a Mandarmani trip. Every Barakah Travels tempo traveller has pushback reclining seats. Your group can genuinely relax on the way there — and most people sleep on the return journey.
Our drivers have made the Kolkata to Mandarmani run repeatedly. They know the Kolaghat stop timing, the Contai fuel point, the Junput Road approach, the beach entry conditions, and the best time to leave Mandarmani to beat the return traffic. This route knowledge makes a real difference for your group.
Every tempo traveller booking from Kolkata to Mandarmani includes the km coverage, toll, fuel, parking, and driver allowance in the quoted price. We do not add fuel surcharges after the trip or surprise you with parking fees at the resort. What we quote is what you pay.
Mandarmani is one of the most unique beach destinations near Kolkata — famous for India's longest driveable beach at 13 km. Located 180 km away in East Midnapore district, it attracts Bengali families, college groups, and corporate teams looking for a quieter, less commercialised alternative to Digha with the added novelty of driving directly on the beach.

The Kolkata to Mandarmani route follows NH16 — the same well-maintained 4-lane highway used for the Digha run — up to Contai at 145 km, after which the road branches off toward Mandarmani via Junput Road. The NH16 section is smooth, fast, and adequate for all vehicle types from a sedan to a 45-seater bus. The Junput Road section is narrower but fully motorable and regularly used by large vehicles including tourist buses. Total distance is approximately 180 km with no ghat sections, no significant single-lane stretches on the highway, and adequate break facilities at the Kolaghat midpoint. Traffic behaviour mirrors the Digha route — manageable on weekdays, potentially slow near Kolaghat during holiday weekends.
